As I mentioned in my previous post about my 3D cartridge renders, I planned on making a home brew tutorial website for several retro consoles. I needed consistent icon asset pack for the site, and it would be too hard to trace or scratch-draw cartridges perfectly from online photos. I decided to 3D model each systems cartridge and then render them all from the perfect angle.
Once I had the renders all set, I methodically traced my renders in Adobe Illustrator to make perfect vector assets. I kept all the line work and color styling to one consistent theme so they would all fit together.
Overall, I'm really happy with how they came out, and it gave my Illustrator skills a much needed refresh!
